THE TOOLS

Creating original automation tools is a slow (and sometimes painful) process, so in the pursuite of providing you value on a more regular basis I thought it’d be a good idea to launch a new format for the newsletter: a list of Cool Tools I Found Last Week, delivered to you weekly.

I also posted about it on Linkedin. Come leave a like and a comment, it’ll make the algorithm tell your colleagues you have taste for great content! 😬

Let me know if you enjoy it, hate it, you think needs improvement, or there are some cool tools I should cover next week. Hit reply, your feedback is always much appreciated.

Automatic Exclusion of Queries via Google Sheets

Giuseppe Scollo’s updated script (of Floris de Schrijver) takes that pain away allows you to exclude queries automatically by using a list stored in Google Sheets—without limits! This means you can easily keep unwanted queries out of your Search or Shopping campaigns without manually setting negative keywords one by one. Just make sure your negative keyword list doesn’t exceed the 5,000-word limit, and you’re good to go. Get the script here.

Keep Branded Campaigns Clean with This Non-Branded Terms Exclusion Script

Bernt Muurling and Quint van der Meer have created a script that automatically excludes non-branded search terms from branded Shopping campaigns. This means you can ensure your budget focuses entirely on branded traffic, without waste on irrelevant terms. Easy to implement, and your budget will thank you! Get the script here.

UTM Fixing Script for GA4 Tracking

If you’re tired of manual UTM setup and missed revenue in Google Analytics 4, Lawrence Jones has a solution for you. His script helps fill in the gaps where GA4's auto-tagging falls short. It helps improve revenue attribution and cut down tracking headaches—potentially recovering up to 25% of under-reported PPC revenue. Get the script here.

Comprehensive PPC Tools Directory

Alfred Simon compiled a complete directory of Google Ads and PPC tools, communities, and more. Whether you’re looking for keyword research help, feed management tools, or PPC management software, you’ll find a collection of the best resources here. It’s basically a PPC toolbox in one place. Explore the directory.

One-Click Keyword/Search Term Clustering Tool

Kishalaya Mukhopadhyay has released a Google Sheets-based tool that segments keywords or search terms using K-Means clustering. Instead of simple metrics like CPC, it uses a more advanced segmentation to give you a clearer picture of keyword performance. Great for optimizing your portfolio bidding strategy and making sure you're not leaving money on the table. Watch how it works (sheet in video description).

Black Friday Bid Adjustments Made Easy

Black Friday chaos got you guessing on bid adjustments? Arjan Schoorl and ex-Googler Valentin De Coninck have launched a script to help advertisers optimize their bid adjustments based on last year’s performance. It’s tailored specifically for pre-, during, and post-Black Friday phases, helping you make data-driven decisions when it matters most. Get the script here.
